Return & Refund Policy

If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help. Please read our policy carefully regarding furniture returns, as shipping large items involves significant logistics.

1. Returns Window

You have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.

2. Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following criteria:

  • Unused and in the same condition that you received it (must be in a condition that allows for resale).

  • Disassembled (if it was delivered flat-packed).

  • In the original packaging (including all styrofoam, protective materials, and boxes).

  • Accompanied by the receipt or proof of purchase.

3. Restocking Fees

Due to the significant size, weight, and logistical costs associated with furniture items, a 20% Restocking Fee will be applied to all returns that are not due to manufacturer defects or shipping damage.

This fee helps cover the cost of return inspection, repackaging, and depreciation, and will be deducted from your final refund amount.

4. Return Shipping Costs & Partial Refunds

  • Buyer’s Remorse: If you are returning an item due to a change of mind, wrong size ordered, or color preference, you will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning the item. Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

  • Defective/Damaged Items: If the return is due to our error (e.g., you received an incorrect or defective item), Vesamontis will cover the return shipping costs.

  • Note on Partial Refunds: For minor cosmetic damages (like a small scratch) that do not affect the functionality of the furniture, we may offer a Partial Refund or replacement parts as a quicker, more convenient alternative to a full return.

5. Freight & LTL Shipments (Important)

Many of our large furniture items are shipped via LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight.

  • Delivery Appointments: If the freight carrier is unable to deliver your item because you are unreachable, or if you refuse delivery for a non-damaged item, you will be responsible for any return shipping costs and storage fees charged by the carrier.

  • Inspecting Upon Delivery: If the outer box shows visible damage upon arrival, you must note “DAMAGED” on the driver’s delivery receipt BEFORE signing for it.

6. Damaged Upon Arrival

Please inspect your order immediately upon reception. You must report any damages or defects to support@vesamontis.com within 72 hours of delivery.

To help us process your claim quickly, please include:

  1. Clear photos of the damaged item.

  2. Clear photos of the damaged outer packaging.

  3. A photo of the shipping label on the box.

Claims made after the 72-hour window may be subject to rejection.

7. Refunds

Once we receive your returned item, our team will inspect it. If approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment within 5-10 business days.

The refund amount will be the purchase price minus the 20% restocking fee (if applicable) and original shipping costs (if applicable).

Please note that your bank or credit card company may take additional time to process and post the refund to your account.
